Moving up the cost spectrum is Vinyl.
As its name indicates, vinyl doors and panels are made of moisture resistant core board/material, vacuum formed or "wrapped" in vinyl.
Manufacturers claim this protective surface ensures vinyl doors are resistant to knocks, chips and scratches.
The attraction of vinyl is that it can be rolled over all four door edges as opposed to traditional Melamine. This allows greater design flexibility when dealing with door and panel edges and can accommodate a softer, smoother, less angular look.
In addition to this, and unlike melamine doors and panels, vinyl doors and panels are also available in a variety of square or arched door/panel face detailing. Such detailing can help accentuate the look you wish to achieve.
Vinyl doors come in new true-to-life wood grains, exciting bold solid colours, plus subtle and not-so-subtle patterns.
